Choc Chip Cookies
Makes 48 cookies
Ingredients
125g butter
50g sugar
50g brown sugar
1 egg
120g flour
140g self-raising flour
2ml (½ teaspoon) salt
2ml (½ teaspoon) bicarbonate of soda
Grated rind of 1 orange
120g chocolate chips or chocolate drops
100g chopped walnuts
Method
1. Preheat oven to 190ºC.
2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the egg and beat thoroughly.
4. Sift the flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda, and mix.
5. Stir in the orange rind, chocolate chips or drops, and nuts.
6. Roll teaspoonfuls of the mixture into balls, place on a greased baking sheet, and press with a fork.
7. Bake for about 10 minutes, until golden brown.
8. Cool and serve.
