"It isn't so much what's on the table that matters, as what's on the chairs." - W. S. Gilbert
Isn't that the most amazing thing? To share a brilliant meal with wonderful people? A few weeks ago we had a group over, and Robin was particularly interested in food and wanted to help. So, I handed him an apron, and he left the comfort of his chair to be with me in the kitchen as we dished up and presented these beautiful creations that he then served to the rest of our guests. That's what makes Cape Table so special. It's all about people, fun, great food and great wine!
Here Robin and I are preparing the final production for dessert - my most amazing malva pudding (a traditional baked dessert). I have posted the recipe before, so be sure to try it out. It's the perfect winter dessert and can be made ahead of time. It is very rich, so I prefer to serve it with something light like raspberries (if they are in season).
