I'm back! Life has been so busy - two months have passed since I last posted something on my blog...two months that were filled to the brim! What with cookery courses, wine and food evenings, and functions, life has been fulfilling and happy!
On one of our latest excursions, Paddy and I happened upon a wine farm where we met Bernard McCoy, our delightful host. Bernard and his wife visited South Africa a few years ago, and stayed in the village of Riebeeck Kasteel...they never left! He named his range of wines after the village in Ireland that he is from - Roundstone - and the attention he gives to each of the 8000 bottles he produces a year, is evident!
Bernard popped corks and let us taste what he produced. He then, with much excitement, had us sample the wine that is resting in French oak barrels - all of which we found amazing! His prices are amazing too, and these wines are definitely on the "value for money" list!
We left Roundstone, an hour late for lunch, and with a car filled with wine! Worth the visit!
Will keep an eye out for it...
