Serves 6 - 8
Ingredients
300g elbow macaroni
3 eggs
2 cups of grated cheese
1 pinch of cayenne pepper
500ml milk
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon butter
Extras: smoked salmon, spring onions, dill
Method
1. In a greased casserole beat the eggs, and then add the milk, cheese and seasoning.
2. Cook macaroni according to the instructions on the packet, drain, let it cool for a few minutes, then add it to the cheese and egg mixture, mixing well.
3. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and dot with butter.
4. Bake at oven preheated to 190°C for about 15 minutes, or until set.
